At the end of the product development process IQF Group made the strategic decision to enter the pet food business. The alternative would be to market the various nucleus developed to other pet food companies. Due to the high cost of each of the nucleus, in order to guarantee the effectiveness of feed ingredient used, and the market's domination by cost based marketing companies, this alternative was discarded.

The objectives for IQF Group Nutraceutics pet food line have been defined as:

- The configuration of each pet food must guarantee the effects announced, sparing no cost in terms of type and quality of feed ingredient used
- The quality of the nutritional ingredients used must be of the highest standard, being constant in all lots, in order to guarantee potential negative health effect due to interlot product variations
- The final product's presentation must guarantee long actual shelf life in worldwide climatologic conditions and ease of use for the dog owner.

During the last 12 months, IQF Group has developed the Nutraceutics dog food line consisting of 5 core products. Further product development which is being conducted is related to:

- Increasing the dog productline combating additional chronic health problems
- Developing a cat food line along the same directives specified above
- Developing a canary productline
